3D Holographic AR Design for Young

GRADES: 3-5

LENGTH: 2 weeks

DESCRIPTION

Young 3D Designers (Grades 3-5) will enter a new dimension of creativity in this fun, educational, 3D-oriented Holographic AR design camp.

This camp is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).

No experience in art, design, or computing needed - just your imagination and enthusiasm! Students will progress from the beginning to the intermediate level over the two-week program.

Fun outdoor and indoor activities and plays are part of the camp experience.

Diving into the Realm of 3D Design and Holographic AR: This camp introduces students to the exciting world of 3D Holographic Augmented Reality (AR), where art leaps off the screen and into the real world. Here, creativity knows no bounds as students learn to transform their ideas into interactive 3D holographic experiences.

Creating 3D character animations: Leveraging popular characters from games like Minecraft and Roblox, as well as other beloved figures suitable for Students Grades 3-4 from the world, students will learn how to design, animate, and bring these characters to life in a 3D holographic space. They'll rig and animate 3D characters, from cartoon figures to human models, creating dynamic, engaging, and interactive art, utilizing tools like iHuman, Adobe Mixamo, and/or blender, etc.

Learning AI for Artistic Creation: Students will delve into the innovative use of AI in art, learning how technology can enhance and transform their creative process. This cutting-edge approach to art creation opens new avenues for young designers.

Teleport into their 3D Worlds with Holographic AR: Students will create 3D Holographic AR designs, exploring the possibilities of digital creativity. They'll dive into the realms of UI/UX design, learning how to craft user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for their creations. Here, design transcends traditional limits. Students will not only create digital art but also interact with their designs in real time, using Holographic AR to enter and explore their own virtual creations.

Learning in Design: Over the course of two weeks, the curriculum covers the Design Thinking process, based on Stanford University's Design School. Participants will engage in developing their own engaging 3D Holographic AR animations with interactive storytelling.

Collaborative Design and Skill Enhancement: Students will have ample opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and develop their artistic visions. The experienced instructors will guide them through advanced design and animation techniques, fostering a nurturing and enriching learning environment.

What's the Magic of 3D Holographic AR Design over traditional 3D design?

Innovative Fusion of 3D Design and Holographic AR: At the core of the camp is the integration of 3D design principles with the magical technology of Holographic Augmented Reality (AR). This combination allows students to not only design in three dimensions but also to experience their creations in a real-world context.

Empowering Creativity with Cutting-Edge Tools: The course introduces young minds to advanced tools like iHuman, Adobe Mixamo, Blender, and iCreator. These tools
are gateways to unlimited creative possibilities, enabling students to bring their most imaginative ideas to life in a 3D space.

Interactive Learning Experience: Students don’t just create digital art; they step into their creations, interacting with them in real-time. This immersive experience is pivotal in understanding the impact of their designs in a real-world setting.

Artistic Expression Powered by AI: The course explores the role of Artificial Intelligence in artistic creation. Students learn how AI can be a powerful ally in the design
process, enhancing their ability to create more dynamic, responsive, and intricate designs.

3D Design Principles and Technology Integration: This course balances cutting-edge technology with the essential principles of 3D design. It empowers students
with a comprehensive understanding of foundational design concepts, allowing them to create works that are not only technologically sophisticated but also aesthetically robust.

Real-World Applications and Problem-Solving: This camp encourages students to think beyond the screen. They learn to apply their skills to real-world scenarios, developing not only their artistic abilities but also their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Preparing for the Future of Design: By participating in this course, students are not just learning about current technologies; they are preparing for the future of design and technology. They gain skills and insights that will be invaluable in the rapidly evolving fields of AR, VR, and digital design.
