AI + 3D AR Game Design with Coding for Young

Grades: 3-5

Length: 3 weeks

Accreditation: Fully WASC Accredited (The Gold Standard in K-12 Education)

Prerequisite: None

DESCRIPTION

Imagine creating a 3D game character that actually thinks! Young Game Creators will combine 3D Design, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Augmented Reality (AR) to bring their wildest ideas to life.

No experience needed—everyone learns at their own pace, with extra challenges for students who are ready for more.

Students will design fully animated 3D characters inspired by Minecraft, Roblox, and Pokémon. But they won't just move; they will be smart. Students will use AI tools to train their blocky warriors and battle creatures to listen, observe, and react.

Then, the real magic happens. No goggles or headsets needed! Using just a standard webcam, students teleport into the 3D world.

Imagine having a real conversation with a smart Minecraft Villager, outsmarting an intelligent Roblox bot, or teaming up with a Pokémon that can chat with you.

Along the way, campers build creativity, critical thinking, and persistence as they debug and improve the intelligent 3D worlds they create.

Experience the Magic of AI + 3D Holographic AR: We blend artistic design with the power of artificial intelligence.

  • Create in 3D: Students move beyond flat drawings to sculpt cool 3D characters with depth and shape using professional tools.
  • Give Them a Brain (AI): A normal game character just follows a path. An AI character thinks! Students will use AI tools to make their characters react—offering tips, changing tactics, or adapting to how you play.
  • Step Inside the Action: Using Holographic AR, the line between the real world and the digital world vanishes. Students use a webcam to interact with their smart 3D creations, dodging villains or high-fiving their sidekicks.

What You Will Do:

  • Design 3D Heroes: Sculpt and model your own 3D characters, from brave knights to futuristic robots.
  • Animate the Action: Learn to animate your character and make them walk, jump, and dance like a pro.
  • Train Your AI: Use AI concepts to give your character personality. Create a sidekick that helps you or a villain that learns your moves.
  • Be the Player: Teleport into your games using your body movements.
  • Play & Learn: Enjoy a healthy balance of high-tech design with fun indoor/outdoor camp activities.
