AI+3D AR Game Design with Coding for Young

AGES: 8-10

LENGTH: 3 weeks

DESCRIPTION

Young tech enthusiasts and game creators (Grades 3-5) will leap into an exciting journey of the 3D AR Coding, AI and 3D Game Design Camp. No prior computer knowledge is needed. Students will start with the basics and progress to advanced levels, developing foundational and cutting-edge skills.

This camp is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).

Fun outdoor and indoor activities and plays are part of the camp experience.

Students will dive into the exciting world of AI-powered game design, where creativity meets cutting-edge technology. They will design and animate 3D characters—ranging from whimsical cartoon figures to lifelike human models and characters inspired by favorites like Minecraft, Roblox, Pokémon, and Super Heros—but the real magic happens when they use AI tools to bring these characters to life. Through AI, their characters will think, react, and adapt in real time, creating dynamic interactions that elevate their games far beyond traditional designs.

With Holographic Augmented Reality (AR), students won’t just observe their creations—they’ll step into their own game worlds and interact with their AI-powered characters. Imagine creating an AI companion that offers strategic tips during a quest, a mischievous villain that adjusts its tactics based on the player’s moves, or a puzzle that evolves as the story unfolds. This isn’t just coding; it’s about crafting intelligent, responsive game worlds where every decision shapes the adventure.

This camp goes beyond traditional game design by introducing students to AI fundamentals and showing how AI transforms games into immersive, living experiences. Students will learn how to integrate AI to design characters with unique personalities, create challenges that adapt to players, and build narratives that respond to their actions.

Through hands-on learning in coding, 3D modeling, animation, and AI, students will see how these tools come together to create innovative projects. Inspired by the Stanford Design School’s Design Thinking process, they will solve problems creatively and refine their designs with AI-enhanced precision. By the end of the camp, students will have built AI-powered games.

The modules in this camp:

  • Introduction to Coding and Holographic AR Design
  • Game Design Strategies
  • Interactive Storytelling
  • AR 2D Game Design
  • 3D Modeling & Animation
  • Interactive 3D AR Coding and Game Design
  • Introduction to AI Concepts
  • AI in Game Design: Creating Smart Characters
  • Creation of Their Own 3D AR Game with AI Intelligence

What Makes AI-Powered 3D Holographic AR Game Design Different?

AI-powered 3D Holographic AR Game Design transforms the way students create and interact with their games, taking the experience far beyond traditional methods. Imagine teleporting into a jungle you’ve designed, where your AI-powered sidekick offers real-time advice or adjusts their behavior to help you solve complex puzzles. Picture battling animated villains who learn and adapt to your strategies, making every encounter dynamic and challenging. This immersive approach lets students step inside their creations, forging a personal connection with the worlds and characters they bring to life.

The integration of AI with 3D design and animation adds a layer of intelligence and realism to their projects. Students will build detailed environments, animate expressive characters, and design interactive stories, but the inclusion of AI takes it a step further—infusing their characters with behaviors, reactions, and problem-solving abilities that make them feel alive.

By combining AI, coding, and AR design, this camp offers an engaging hands-on experience in game creation. Students don’t just see their work come to life—they interact with it, debug it, and refine it in real time. Whether tweaking an AI character’s reactions or improving a 3D animation, they’ll gain a deeper understanding of how to make their creations work seamlessly.

This process builds more than technical skills; it cultivates resilience, creativity, and critical thinking. By integrating AI into their designs, students learn how to tackle challenges, iterate on their ideas, and achieve results they can be proud of. They leave the camp not just with smart, interactive games but with the confidence and tools to explore future innovations in technology and beyond.
