AGES: 5.5-8

LENGTH: 2 weeks

DESCRIPTION

Junior Animators (Grades K-2) will dive into a World of Animated Wonders! Welcome to the Two-Week Holographic AR Animation Camp, where technology breathes life into art!

This camp is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).

No prior experience in art, animation, design, or computing is necessary.

Fun outdoor and indoor activities and plays are part of the camp experience.

Learn the Foundations of Digital Animation: In this journey, students will explore the exciting world of digital animation. Students will learn essential art and animation principles, understanding how to create movement and life in their digital creations. From the basics of character design to the dynamics of scene setting, they'll gain hands-on experience in crafting animated stories, observing their characters and scenes come to life in an interactive environment.

Unleash Creativity with Adobe Character Animator: The camp introduces a groundbreaking blend of art, artificial intelligence, and Adobe's cutting-edge animation tools. This camp isn't just about exploring Adobe Character Animator; it's about applying core animation principles through these advanced tools. Junior animators will learn to animate their own art and characters with Adobe Character Animator, and bring characters and scenes to vibrant life.

Teleport into Your Animation World and Become the Star with Holographic AR: This camp takes art beyond the canvas into a realm of interactive animation. Students will not only create but also become part of their animations. Students will learn to craft dynamic Holographic AR art, where they can teleport into their animated world using a webcam portal, and play with their characters in their fairy tales. It's not just about animating; it's about stepping into it, living in it! They'll see their characters interact in real-time and control animations with their own movements and expressions.

Dive into Interactive Storytelling: Over two weeks, the junior animators will immerse themselves in creating and storytelling, weaving simple tales and animations. They'll tackle design challenges, enriching their narratives through their animated art. They’ll learn the Design Thinking process based on the Stanford University Design School curriculum, use it to create their interactive AR animation design.

Collaborate, Create, and Grow in an Artistic Experience: With more time to learn and create, students will deepen their bonds, sharing more ideas and inspirations. The dedicated instructors will guide them through advanced techniques, ensuring a richer, more comprehensive learning experience.

Course Modules:

  • Digital Art Design Basics
  • Intro to Holographic AR Artistry
  • Intro to Adobe Character Animator

What's the Magic of “AI+AR Animation with Adobe Character Animator”?

Blending Traditional Animation with Cutting-Edge Technology: In this interactive AR Animation Adventure with Adobe Character Animator and Holographic AR, students learn the core principles of animation, such as timing, motion, and storytelling, just like in traditional animation classes. These essential skills form the foundation for junior animators to understand and create moving art.

Revolutionary Art with AI: The course propels students into the forefront of animation technology. Beyond traditional techniques, they'll learn to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create and edit digital art, and animate their creations. Students will use AI to create characters and scenes, bringing a dynamic dimension to their art that goes beyond the static frame.

Animating Through a Digital Lens: Students will apply classic animation principles in a digital environment. They'll learn how to enhance their Holographic AR animations by applying these enduring principles, refining their work for a Holographic AR experience.

Teleport into Your Animated World with Holographic AR: The enchantment unfolds as students step into their own animations. With Holographic AR technology, they don't just create animations; they become part of them. Imagine animating a scene and then interacting with it in real-time, a truly immersive artistic experience.

Expanding Horizons Beyond the Screen: This immersive method deepens the appreciation of the animation medium. It nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. Students learn to not only design animations but also to interact and engage with them in a lively manner. This hands-on experience encourages junior minds to explore beyond traditional boundaries, merging art, technology, and imagination.

A New Realm of Artistic Animation: The AI-Powered AR Animation Adventure is a journey into a realm where animation, technology, and creativity converge. It's a gateway to new artistic expressions and innovative storytelling for junior students. They're not just learning to animate; they're learning to breathe life into their stories, setting the stage for a new era of animators and creative thinkers.
