Interactive 2D & 3D AR Animation with Adobe for Teen
Grades: 6-8
Length: 2 weeks
Accreditation: Fully WASC Accredited (The Gold Standard in K-12 Education)
Prerequisite: None
DESCRIPTION
Enter the Future of Animation! Teen Animators will dive into the worlds of 2D and 3D animation, combining creative artistry with professional tools like Adobe Character Animator, Adobe Photoshop, and Mixamo.
No experience needed—everyone learns at their own pace, with extra challenges for students who are ready for more.
They will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bring these designs to life. With Adobe Character Animator, their 2D characters will mirror the student’s own facial expressions in real-time—when the student smiles or speaks, the character does the same! Then, they venture into the 3D realm using Mixamo and iHuman to animate models that move as they designed.
Once the animation is ready, the boundary between screen and reality dissolves. With Holographic AR, students step into the animated world they just created. They interact with their 2D and 3D characters in real-time.
Along the way, campers build creativity, critical thinking, and persistence as they debug and improve their immersive stories.
Experience the Magic of Holographic AR: We turn digital animation into a responsive, physical experience.
- Step Inside Your Animation: You don't just design from the outside; you become part of the scene! See yourself standing right next to your 3D models and animated characters in the world you built.
- You Move, It Moves: When you wave, your animated world reacts! You control the action with your own body movements and facial expressions using real-time motion capture.
- Immersive Realism: This physical interaction makes animation feel real and exciting, transforming traditional design into a living, breathing experience without the need for headsets or goggles.
