Intro to AR Digital Art for Junior
AGES: 5.5-8
LENGTH: 1 week
DESCRIPTION
Junior Digital Artists (Grades K-2) will step into a World of Imagination! Welcome to this Introductory Art Camp, a place where art meets the magic of technology!
This camp is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).
No prior experience in art, design, or computing is necessary.
Fun outdoor and indoor activities and plays are part of the camp experience.
Embark on a Fascinating Artistic Adventure: students will explore the fundamental principles of digital art, tailored for their age group. They'll delve into the vibrant world of colors, shapes, and lines, learning how to compose and design digital artworks. This isn't just about using tools; it's about understanding the building blocks of art.
Teleport into Your Art with Holographic Augmented Reality (AR): In this camp, art isn't just created; it's experienced. Students will learn to craft dynamic Holographic AR art, where they can teleport into their art using a webcam portal, and the characters from their fairy tales leap into reality, and their drawings evolve with time-based animations. It's not just about creating art; it's about stepping into it, living in it!
Interactive Storytelling with Holographic AR: As they design, the junior digital artists will dive into interactive storytelling, bringing their tales to life with their creations. They'll solve puzzles, design challenges, and narrate stories, all through their art.
Collaborate, Create, and Grow: Guided by supportive and skilled instructors, students will work together, sharing ideas and inspirations. This journey isn't just about learning art; it's about forming bonds, sparking friendships, and building a community of junior creators.
What's the Special about “Magical AR Art Adventure” for Junior Students over traditional art design?
Blending Traditional Art with Futuristic Technology: Just like in traditional art classes, students in the AR Art Adventure learn fundamental artistic concepts such as color, shape, and composition. These foundational skills are crucial in helping junior artists understand the basics of visual art.
Understanding Art Through a Digital Lens: In addition to art creation, students will explore how to apply classic art principles in a digital setting. They learn to evaluate and enhance their art, using these time-honored principles to refine their digital creations for Holographic AR.
Step Into Your Art with Holographic AR: The real magic happens when students step into their own art. Unlike any traditional art class, the Holographic AR technology allows students to immerse themselves within their creations. Imagine painting a landscape and then walking through it, or drawing a character and then interacting with it in a virtual space. This is not just art; it's an experience.
Benefits Beyond the Canvas: This immersive approach fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of art. It encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Students learn to envision, create, and interact with their art in a dynamic way. It's an engaging, hands-on experience that inspires junior minds to think beyond the canvas and explore the boundless possibilities of art and technology combined.
A New Dimension of Artistic Expression: The AR Art Adventure is more than just an art course; it's a journey into a world where art and technology meet, opening doors to new forms of expression and creativity for junior students. They don't just learn to create art; they learn to live and interact with it, paving the way for a new generation of artists and innovators.
